French 3 glass doors armoire. The style is neo Louis XV or Louis XV revival influenced by the eccentric Napoleon III belle epoque design. It was made at the turn of the last century circa 1900.
The triple arched crown is boldly molded and fitted at the center arch with a work of the sculptor's art that revels in the Rococo flair, with stylized shell, floral and foliates featured, cascading down the shoulders of the central arch. The bonnet is beautifully carved as well, from the recessed, mitered corners on the ends and the step-front center section to the recessed panels, featuring complementary motifs that also extend below the bonnet on the same cornerposts that define the segments of the piece. Upturned stylized shells reach up from the lower mounts of the cornerposts creating a visually stunning framework for the three magnificent doors.
